Founded in 1966, Pack 268 celebrates its 59th anniversary in the 2025-2026 Year in Scouting.
It was with great pride that Pack 268 became an official family scouting unit in 2018, welcoming both boys and girls of all elementary school grades into our program.
We are a part of Scouts BSA, in the Patriots Path Council, Pioneer District (formerly the Watchung Mountain District), and are proudly sponsored by The Rotary Club of Berkeley Heights. We serve over 30 families from the Woodruff, Mary Kay McMillin, Mountain Park and Hughes Elementary Schools.
Our Pack calendar is full of adventure every year. Everything from camping in the great outdoors to racing in our annual Pinewood Derby along with much, much more. We're especially excited to include events in the community like day hikes, sporting events, and service projects to help our neighbors.
We track advancements and awards using ScoutBook, a simple, online tool offered to parents as a way of viewing their Scout's advancements as they move along the ranks. When a Scout joins the Pack, an invitation is sent for parents to connect to their ScoutBook profile. We regularly communicate with Pack families using the ScoutBook program, so it's important that you accept that invitation and complete your own profile to include your email address and cell phone number.
We welcome you to join us in this fun-filled adventure we call Scouting!

WHAT DO CUB SCOUTS DO?
Cubs learn lifesaving skills like first aid, weather preparedness, and safety in their day to day life as well as in the outdoors. They attend campouts, try a variety of outdoor activities, participate in community service, and help make our town a better place. They develop leadership skills and learn the importance of mutual respect along the way. They also get exposure to healthy eating and cooking, physical fitness, STEM activities, sports, team building, law enforcement and so much more. They also make lifelong friends!
